Easier Certification and State product registration in Russia.

Most of commercial activities in Russia are subject for licensing both on the federal and local requirements . Products or services exported to Russia must be certified or/and registered in accordance with current Russian laws and regulations.

Actualy Russian system of standards, certification and licensing of foreign equipment, goods and services are quite a complicated set-up. Even for local receivers obtaining necessary certification it is not an easy task. It becomes even more of a complicated when it gets down to imports.

Regulations and laws defining products often are unclear, and it is a first problem to discover to which category the product belongs, which certification procedure and what time frames will be optimal.

The Russian certification system does not recognize most of non-Russian quality certificates and standards. If available, European or American quality certificates are helpful, but have to be evaluated by an authorized Russian certification agency.

Fees for registration and licensing in Russia are not much higher than in other countries. But, there is not a common policy on pricing. Depending on the product and complexity of laboratory analysis, the costs may range from a few hundred dollars to couples of thousands.
